An ideation and concept for a playful app to create business cards. The app offers three options for the user to create their business cards, each unique with different levels of creativity and fun.
Make - This option is most like a tool, where the user can engage and create with full control of the look of their business cards, they can change the font, colour and upload imagery. The user can experiment with designing their card using the touch of the finger.
Random - The option where the user, after making a selection of favourite fonts, colours and uploading imagery, will be presented with options of random designs for potential business cards. They can swipe away cards that are not to their taste and save the ones they like. With machine memory, the app can detect the users taste in colours, fonts etc and make more suitable choices as they carry on using the app.
Shazam - Where the fun begins, the user can on a touch listen to music through the app which generates business card designs on hearing sound. If it's dark mental music, the app would generate card designs with darker shades of colour and use strong fonts, ambient music, would use tones and shades etc. This is to create a fun entity to the application, to experiment and be adventurous.
The objective of the app was to engage users, think outside the box whilst having fun creating cards. They can still purchase through the app a set of cards, however the main objectives are to make an impression and get people talking.

Ted Baker Blog
Ted Baker Microsite
2013 was Ted Baker's 25th birthday. As a celebration Ted Baker gave away a chance to win one of three trips of a lifetime. To win all customers had to do was enter details on a form to make that chance possible.
The brief given to me was to design a microsite to house the form with the objective of entertaining the user.
The Concept was to show Ted Baker on his travels over the 25 years with 25 supporting short stories through a microsite.
The idea was implemented through a parallax scroll that moved across from one story to another with moving illustrations. Stanley Chow was the illustrator commissioned to create the 25 illustrations.
UX/UI and responsive design was considered to cater for the growing mobile & iPad users.
